Deribit's bitcoin futures contract, which expires on Friday, is trading below the exchange's index price, indicating weak demand. Andrew Melville, research analyst at Block Scholes, said: "For the first time, short-term [seven-day and up] yields have fallen into negative territory, meaning futures are trading below spot, which we see as a clear bearish signal."
